Remember how the President’s meeting of political rivals at Blair House was going to breathe new life into bipartisanship and the struggling effort to reform the health care system? Yeah, that didn’t really happen. Obama listened politely for six hours, with occasional flashes of temper, but in the end, the message was clear: It’s over. The Democrats are moving forward without Republicans.
